[ERC] INA Croatia Delta Rally

This year's "Delta" will be held from 22. to 24. May, on the stages well known from the previous years. A new stage "Pila" is added to the itinerary and it will be run twice on Thursday evening. I hope we will have a good entry list and a beautiful weather like last year.

Unfortunately I have some very bad news.
From what I heard this years Delta rally probably wont be held.There are no sponsors,there is still INA missing from the rallys name.Entrys are closed and they have only got 52 entries...8 B priority drivers and 5 Croatian entries with top cars.
The rally will not count for the Slovenian championship and most of the Slovenian and Croatian drivers dont want to drive because the rally is 800 km long (only 280 competitve km of that 800 km) which most of those drivers cant pay...Even most of the top drivers with top cars from Croatia and Slovenia cant pay that..
We will know more tomorrow when the final meeting will be held.

Very bad news. When they finally gain ERC status, now this happen...I still hope they will find some money and do this year`s event. Although I think I know where is a main problem for situation (cause in Slovenia we have same problem).

Luca Betti in a 207 S2000... this guy run with a lot of cars... this season with a Civic R3, Impreza WRC, Lancer EVO IX and now with a 207 S2000...

I think JURAJ ŠEBALJ will repeat the victory of last season

For me Šebalj is the main favourite,but lets not forget that Solowow and Isik were fast too.
But for me the surprise will be Corrado Fontana,last year he lost lots of time on the first day,but he won almost every stage of the second day!!!

I do not know. Perhaps another one, but we are yet to see. Regarding the poor entry list, hm, maybe it won t be so bad, but there are very few small cars. Šebalj will probably win again, but there could be a good fight for the victory, since some other Croatian drivers are much faster than they used to be. As for the foreigners, they will traditionally be very fast, so I guess it will be a good rally after all. Also I hope there will be some more spectators than previous years.

Most probably there will be even less spectators because last year Delta counted also for slovenian championship and I know there were a lot of us present there, not so much this year.

Good news.
The traditional main sponsor INA (finally) announced it will be sponsoring this Delta.So from now the name of this rally is INA Delta Croatia rally!!!

Actually from what I saw on shakedown Solowow impressed me the most,he was clearly the fastest in my opinion(Fontana was close,others were way behind).
So there is lots of hope Tom ;) ;) ;)

Yes,I can confirm that too.I was at shakedown and I can confirm that Solowow,Fontana,Betti,Manfrinato and Cibej were all driving

Are there any right real results?

My friend took a picture of the results on the finish line.I asked him to send it to me and I will post it as soon as I recieve it.
I can guarantee you that Solowow was fastest with 2:20.4, Fontana 2:21 ,
Isik 2:23.4 and others were way behind

No, Solowow's only problem on this stage was that he was driving on dry tyres. Fontana was the only top driver that had 2 wet tyres, that's why his stage time was so good.

You're right, on first part of ss8 (Budinjak) it was raining heavily and Fontana was going earlier so he had the advantage. Budinjak is a very technical stage with many bends so s2000 cars were much faster here than Lancers.

Yes,just like Filip said,Budinjak is a VERY technical stage.They call it the stage of a 1000 corners(it has 421 cornerss and it is 33 km long).So the S2000 have a huge advantage

The car is OK,it is a little damaged everywhere.They hit a stone wall with the back side of the car and fell 5 meters down by the road on SS Sljeme.They said it was just when they started to drive fast (they already overtook Betti and were attacking Donchev very fast).The car is already getting its bodywork done.

i do! :D i was a co-driver for 00 car. it is 5oo sport 1.4 100hp. it has novitec suspension, standard brakes (the discs were just drilled), standard road tyres michelin pilot primacy 195/45/16, full supersprint exhaust, bmc air intake and re-mapped.
it makes a noise like s1600! :D we had a lot of positive comments about our driving and about the car.
we were 13th fastest on sljeme2!

Yes your 500 really has a nice noise.When I was at the first stage Okić 1 I remember that I heard a nice noise after 000.I wondered what it was and then I saw you storm by.Nice driving!!!
