Dixon I'd have equal odds to Wheldon and the AGR boys. Danica I'd put at equal to Briscoe at 6/1.

But you really have to ask the bookies in Vegas. They've already decided who's gonna win. Same with the NBA & NHL championships... :vader:

hard to argue too much. I would equalize the odds between the AGR veteran drivers and the Ganassi duo. I think there are a couple of more 100-1 people on that list (Larry Foyt, Marty Roth)

I reckon that Newman/Hass/Lanigan will be a dark horse. Sure they were slow on the first two ovals, but they will have far more more practice sessions at Indy to get the cars sorted out. NHL have won on ovals in the past in CART, so they know how to do it.

Extreme dark horse... EJ Viso! You all saw how quick he was last weekend, not bad for only his second oval race. Could get a pretty good return on a EJ victory

Ken, I think you're odds are a bit too low considering there are 40 entries at this stage. I would suggest:

Dixon 5/1F
Wheldon 11/2
Kanaan 6/1
Castroneves 6/1
Patrick 10/1
Andretti 10/1
Scheckter 12/1
Briscoe 12/1
Wilson 15/1
Rahal 15/1
20/1 Bar

If you were looking for a dark horse then possibly Carpenter, although I doubt he has the staying power over 500 miles. So instead I'd plump for Lloyd, particularly if Ganassi is involved on the technical side of things.

I think that Dan Wheldon is the favorite to win the race and I hope that he will.

EJ Viso winning the Indy 500 would be GREAT. That would stick it to DP with her comments at Kansas. :D

it will be interesting to see the vegas odds....as far as I can tell there aren't any yet..

but dixon at 5-1 would be a heck of good bet
