Can't believe it's been 5 years... time passes so quickly :(

There are a couple of his old cars still going about over here so am reminded occasionally of him :)

The man was an inspiration and I had the pleasure of watching him many times live and meeting him also.

A couple of standout moments for me were on the Rally New Zealand as a young kid. Possum was in line belted into the car waiting to go into service. I passed a comment to my father saying I would like a picture. He was due to be driving into the service although upon hearing the comment he unbelted, and took a couple of photo's with me not worrying about the time of checking in. He was VERY loyal to his fans. Without a doubt he was the best ambassador for rallying I have ever seen.

Secondly as Possum was sponsored by a company called Vantage Aluminium there was a big dinner at a restaurant in Auckland New Zealand. The one good thing was that this restaurant (Sky Tower) had 40 cm x40 cm cotton napkins. After me and a few people rounding up our napkins Possum proceeded to sign BIG autographs and personal messages on them. By the time the night was out all 300 people had stolen the napkins and had Possum sign them all up, and not one person left without having their one signed, with a personal message. He made sure he didn't leave anyone out, this is just the kind of guy he was. My napkin is now framed and hanging at home in NZ as a timeless reminder of Possum.

Wow... 5 years already.

Without Possum, I wouldn't of got into rallying. Without Possum, I wouldn't of fallen in love with Subaru. Without Possum, I wouldn't be living in Norway!

I owe a lot to this man, he was an incredible rally driver and person! The NZ rally scene will never be the same without his fun smile and contagious passion. You will never be forgotten Possum :)

Great!A WOLF pursued a Lamb, which fled for refuge to a certain Temple. The Wolf called out to him and said, "The Priest will slay you in sacrifice, if he should catch you." On which the Lamb replied,"It would be better for me to be sacrificed in the Temple than to be eaten by you." ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- china travel (http://www.topchinatrip.com/) china tour (http://www.topchinatrip.com/) china tours (http://www.topchinatrip.com/) china trip (http://www.topchinatrip.com/) only in china (http://www.topchinatrip.com/)
