If you don't mind, I could start a thread related to Junior Rallying scheme.
The first event of 2008 was on 18th and 19th of April. On the first day - two asphalt SS and on second - 6 gravel SS. Total distance in SS - 52km.
There were three British crews: Tom Cave/Gemma Price, Conor Flynn/Tim Young, and Thomas Clark/Aggie Foster. Cave was 19th overall and 2nd in a group. His driving has changed drammatically since last season. In one word - confidence and stability. It's not only my opinion - I could hear that from the spectators and drivers as well. Clark finished 47th overall and 11th in the group, Flynn did not score but had some practice on gravel. Photos from the event are here: rallyemotions.net (http://www.rallyemotions.net/kz_08/). Two full stories of off roads: one in a ditch (http://www.rallyemotions.net/79_kz08/)and other - in a... river (http://www.rallyemotions.net/58_kz08/).

Thanks! Would be great to to see the Metro 6R4 (just read the info about this car - never heard of before) in Latvia! What time of the year are those plans for? If you need assistance in getting here, Gemma Price would be the person to contact as she knows probably the best way of doing that. Meanwhile, please, enjoy some pictures from supersprint (http://www.rallyemotions.net/superspr_08/)[yes, we have run out of proper names for events :) ] This is a maiden race of a new series for street and sports cars run on an autocross grounds. Street tires exclusively are allowed.

It is interesting note - motorsport council asked to go over - does it mean that MSA would like to someone to go over and check situation?

OK, an update. Rally Talsi 2008 was not the most pleasant event for Tom Cave/Gemma Price as young driver steered off-road on SS6. Conditions were very much like in Wales - the rain overnight softened the soil and road surface, so it was slippery. Here's the full photo story of the off-road (http://www.rallyemotions.net/cave_talsi08/). And here: the rest of Rally Talsi 2008 (http://www.rallyemotions.net/talsi_08/).
