I'm surprised by the pace of Solowow, or am I surprised by the slower pace of Bouffier? Nice competition there in Poland!

Tom206wrc
21st September 2008, 10:44
Official...Holowczyc got his 10s penalty now

To me it doesn't change many things: he's going toward his first win with the S2000 even if rally is far from finished and that drivers behind can't drive too slow regarding the gaps ;)

Tom206wrc
21st September 2008, 11:58
Will SS9 start 30 minutes late or in normal time(1.17pm) ???

Jarek Z
21st September 2008, 12:00
Holowczyc said that his jump start was caused by a small problem with the clutch.

HaCo - I think Bouffier is not driving at 100% because
1) he needs just a few points to become Polish champion already on this rally
2) he says he is a bit ill

But still - Holowczyc's performance is great!

P.S. Tom - Holowczyc's nickname is not "Holka", but Holek :)

OK SS9 running ;)

Tom206wrc
21st September 2008, 12:39
Best time for Bouffier who only gets 16s late over Holek !!! :D

Kajetanowicz was 2nd fastest and takes 3rd overall at the expense of Solowow(who only gets 1.2s late)...

Kuchar was faster than Bebenek and takes 5th(with only 2.3s advantage)...

Nothing is done nowhere with 2 stages left to run :)

Tom206wrc
21st September 2008, 13:14
SS10 running :bounce:

Edit: Kajetanowicz not on stage ???
Kajto after Bebenek...

Tom206wrc
21st September 2008, 13:40
Puncture for Kajetanowicz on SS10 :mark:

Bouffier wins stage again and has 13s to catch to Holowczyc...but with one 14km long stage to go, Krzystof should win this event ;)

Solowow takes 3rd following Kajto bad luck, and with 12s gap he should keep this position...

Battle for 5th should be intense again on last stage with 3s only between Bebenek and Kuchar ;)

Can't wait for SS11(in about 20 minutes now) :bounce:

Tom206wrc
21st September 2008, 14:08
Victory for Holowczyk in front of Bouffier and Solowow(definitely) :D

Congratulations Krzystof and Lukasz

I heard that Kuzaj bought another Pug 207. Do you know more?
I noticed that in Orlen his peugeot has a different plate number from the last race. Is it the same car?

I agree. Typical way to park a rally car for Leszek :)

I don't know how many cars he has, but I think it's logical that he needs one new car after each rally, isn't it? ;)

Why no trace of Michal Solowow ??? Because rallye of Antibes(ERC)??

Jarek Z
5th October 2008, 12:00
Michal Solowow took part in Sanremo Rally last week insted of Dolnoslaski Rally, because he felt it would help him to be better prepared for Antibes.

Sad news is that Kajetanowicz will not compete too - his sponsor (MapaMap) withdrew right before the event :(

The budget was found quicker than anyone could think! Seeing Kajto's problems, one of his other sponsors (Platinum Motor Oil) decided to increase its own input and Kajto is in action again!

Can some of the Polish members confirm, that Kuzaj will take part in the German Lausitz Rally (17th-18th October) in the "Gravel"-Peugeot?

ja, for sure, that's why i'm asking

the rally should be polish championship next year. as you see many drivers from poland are going there

Mirek
9th October 2008, 00:35
Lausitz in Polish championship? Just logicaly... Why??? Polish rally has big problems with lack of competitors on rallys (practicaly no small cars in championship) and they add another - foreig event? I relay don't see any sense in that...

Raven
9th October 2008, 07:29
I would like to see Lauzitz in polish championhips. We have only two gravel events, one more will be nice :-)
Years ago we had one rally in Slovakia (Gemer).

Every such idea is a good idea for me. For spectators you have more crews to watch and drivers have new, unknown stages. The budget should not be a big problem, as Lausitz Rallye is very close to polish border. Only accomodation and meals are more expensive.

I'm only worried about polish association (PZM), they still have such stupid thinking in communist style and because of that they are called "concrete" or even "armored concrete".

Best time for Bouffier on SS1 ahead of Bebenek, Kuzaj and Kuchar :)

Yesterday it was Kuchar fastest on prolog ahead of Kuzaj, Stec and Bouffier... ;)

Kajto is 5th overall after SS1...

Tom206wrc

Tom206wrc

After 6 stages Bryan Bouffier is leading Tomasz Kuchar for 33s and Kajto for 1'15"... :p :

Only 8s to catch to be 4th overall though... ;)

Tom206wrc
10th October 2008, 14:43
End of first leg Rajd Donoslanski(after SS8)... ;)

Bryan Bouffier is leading with 35s gap over Tomasz Kuchar(good surprise to me because often Kuchar was off the pace a little bit during the past events in the S2000...)and 1'23" ahead of Kajetan Kajetanowicz...

Leszek Kuzaj is back 5th overall only 6s behind Bebenek...

By the way it looks this rally gives an advantage to S2000s over the GrNs seeing the number of 1-2-3 from Bouffier-Kuchar-Kuzaj...

Mirek
10th October 2008, 14:49

Tom206wrc

Kajetanowicz (if not Bouffier again) is the best choice for Peugeot Polska. Future of this talented driver is not clear, as his last rally was in doubt to the last moment (sponsor withdrawal). For the next season he has (probably!) no sponsor.

Yes, this is the good news after Dolnoslaski Rally. The bad news is that Tomasz Czopik decided to finish his rally career. He has never been the fastest driver in Poland, but always a nice guy and entertaining to watch:

I don't know if anybody is interested in cross-country rallies, but Krzysztof Holowczyc was third in UAE Desert Challenge Rally in Dubai and thanks to that he is second in the FIA Cross-Country Trophy (or whatever it is called).

Final standings of the Cross-Country Trophy:
1. Nasser Al Attiyah (Q) - 26
2. Krzysztof Hołowczyc (PL) - 16
3. Luc Alphand (F) - 15
Giniel de Villiers (RSA) - 15
Dominique Housieaux (F) -15

Yes, Citroen C2 R2 challenge, which turned out to be a great success this season, will continue next year. Jan Chmielewski http://www.rallyonline.pl/ft.php?idg=3281&pg_[go]=9 , the winner of the challenge, collected two prizes - a road car Citroen C2 VTS and a special kit to built a rally C2 R2 Max.

Interesting piece of news is that Pawel Stefanicki announced that he will drive Honda Civic R3 in the Polish championship next year. He's not a bad driver and he will be backed by Honda Poland, so I expect some good results!

Karbonyl
20th January 2009, 00:28
You're right, urabus. It should be pure group N cars with stock brakes, gearbox and diffs. Drivers count with 25% costs savings for running these cars. N4- should have their own class, but would also score in general Gr. N classification. This idea is currently on the table of polish ASN.

I hope polish drivers will finally understand that there is something else than top spec cars. The main problem is in the their heads.
When S2000 it must be this year's version , when Lancer then Evo IX in the yesterday's spec, when lower class then C2 R2 (of course the most wanted is MAX version).
The most funny in this pursuit for perfection was changing the car from N12 to N14 or from Evo VII to Evo VIII MR :D :D :D

Not a bad beginning of the year for Krzysztof Holowczyc. In January he was 5th in the famous Dakar Rally, in February he became the "official face" of Atlantic watches company and today he confirmed that he will drive Ford Focus WRC on the Rally of Poland in June. The car will come from Stobart or Munchi's team. Good luck to Holek!

You are not right. You have classification of second day only. Bryan is 4th overal. On the upper left part of the screen You have to switch "Widok:" to "Rajd" ;)

Kajetanowicz is leading by 0,1 seconds from Kuchar!

I will post some photos from Day 1 at Elmot!!!

On Monday - i have no internet until then and now on another computer

It was great seeing the S2000 cars and 1600's too! :D

But only one day was enough.... maybe next time I will do both days... when I am here next!

I forgot which stage but it was in Walim town center that most of the cars went into ditches! :D

Photos to come but will follow on here!

This time not his fault....

Kajetanowicz in the lead after stage 13, being second fastest on this stage and 3.4" quicker as Kuchar, and above that Kuchar has a 10" penalty? So now he has lead of 10"9 to Kuchar with only two stages to go. :D

I'm not sure if anyone's mentioned it before, but rules in scoring have changed in Poland. I've explained it at the English website.

"This season of Polish Championship brings significant change to the scoring system. It was first introduced at the Elmot Rally. In this article we'll explain the new rules. During all rounds of RSMP both Legs are to be taken into account separately. Additionally, five best teams in overall (being a sum of first and second Leg) are given points. Points for winning the largest number of special stages are no longer given."

After the Elmot Rally in Polish Champoinship overall Kajetanowicz and Kuchar are first ex aequo. Both have 15 points.

Kajetanowicz says after rally:
- I'm very happy. I think, that the team is satisfied and that nobody would expect Subaru to win the rally. I love Elmot, this is my secon victory in this rally. We're of good hearts, yet not getting overexcited before next rounds. We have some serious work to do, we're still not as fast as we might be and we'll work hard to get better. I've won with S2000 cars. It prooves how lucky we were. Our great team and an excellent car helped us. In fact the result is dependent upon many factors. We felt good and those were our two days. But we cannot rest on our laurels after a single success.

A full and long coverage from Elmot_Krause Rally in English is to be published tomorrow!

He lost 14.8s at the finish and the penalty was 10s, so he was just too slow for Kajetanowicz :)

The penalty could have hampered his willing of fight for the victory in the last two stages too :mark:
