Thats a great sponsor to have.
Horizon has done similar with 4 of the Pac 10 football teams.

Wow, those would have been great pics for a caption comp...
"Hey, does this jet make me look fat?"
If they would have positioned her better, they could have charged for pictures of people looking out the first 2 windows...
and for the shameless OT plug, Hopefully it will never show up as an episode on this program: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mayday_%28TV_series%29
A Buddy of mine is one of the assitant editors on that show... Didn't think I'd get the chance to mention that on here... :p :

if it wasn't her sponsor I would think this is a fake - but it is not.
okay, cool thing. if she is cool with that, great for me.
It is always nice to see sponsors taking their drivers faces out to the crowd. that is the thing that draws the casual observers.
funny idea.
PS: actually nice link, I enjoyed their "carbabes" section....

Not exactly. AirTran bought Valujet after their little problems. In 15 years of operating, AirTran has not had a single incident.

all that's missing is the BIG IndyCar Series logo plastered on the plane. IndyCar needs more stuff like that.
The window is right where the ICS logo should be on her driver suit.
Without it, most schmoes will think she is in NASCAR . UGH

A big old indycar on the side of the plane would have been great, too. But then again, who wants to fly a crapwagon...

Would have to be better that a champ car, since after Long Beach all you would do is sit there...

But in all seriousness, airliners are a great advertising vehicle. I know US Airways has several "logo" planes honoring sports teams from their hub cities including
the Pittsburgh Steelers, Carolina Panthers, Arizona Cardinals, Phoenix Suns and Philadelphia Eagles.

I can dream but it would be so cool to see one of these babies at O Hare in ICS livery.

I agree... time to knock off both. It's one series.... I happen to like the DP01 better but its gone so I am going to watch the Dallara and root for my favorite drivers. Just like I did when they were driving Lola's, Renard's, Porsche's and all the other chassis.
Now.... back to Air Tranica..... LOL

There was no Porsche Indy Car. It was a speciality built March as was the Alfa.

I am pretty sure that in 1987 Porsche developed their own chassis that was so bad they went with the March for 1988.
Update: From August 2004 issue of MotorSport, in a story about Al Holbert
Flush from its domination of sportscar racing, Porsche decided to develop its own chassis. Big mistake. "At first we were all concerned," says Derrick Walker, who was Penske's vice-president or racing at the time, "but Porsche didn't understand how racing worked over here. And when we saw that their car didn't have any ground-effects, we realized it wasn't going to be competitive."
The Porsche Indycar that was given its debut at the end of the 1987 season predictably proved to be a disaster. Al convinced the company to develop a Porsche-powered March for 1988

Thats true, Al Unser tested one at Laguna near the end of the season prior to the Quaker State Porsche/March Driven by Teo Fabi debuted.. and declared it crap...
"When Al Unser finally did race the Porsche at Laguna Seca, the car was "unfriendly." It was so bad that Al actually seemed happy about the car breaking down early in the race. Unser refused to race the Porsche in the CART season finale in Miami."

Here you go. Yes, I believe a person here can remember 7 laps running at the rear of the 24 car field at Laguna over a major win at Mid Ohio.
Want to know the truth, the car that Danny Ongais was nearly killed in was designed and built for a 6 cylinder Turbo Porsche. They put up 50% of the money and the design. The engine never got completed because it was killed in 1980 by USAC and CART. So in 1981 the car was fitted with a Cosworth. want to hear the true story PM me.
