That webmaster hasn't heard of Michele Mouton! I'm pretty sure she was the first female to win a major auto racing event.

And good for Danica. The media will have a field day with this one. (good for IndyCar? I don't know what its like over there :p :)

its a shame they didn't go all out for Grahams win in St. pete.

Danica has taken 50 races to win, Graham did it in his first race! Surely he deserved as much hype for that as Danica is getting for this win?

Not that I EVER want to see it, but I doubt Graham looks anywhere as good in a bikini. Fact is, joe and joanie schmoe know about Indycar racing because of Danica. Maybe they start watching more now that Danica is also a race winner and also keep watching in the future. Eyes on TV sets and news articles bring sponsorship to the series.

So what how long it took? It took John Force 10 years & getting Austin Coil to get his first NHRA win, then he won 10 consecutive NHRA championships.

It is not the IRL that choses the story, it is the press, and look at what they are covering? First story on SportsCenter, it is on MSNBC, CNN, Fox News, New York Times, Chicago Tribune, BBC, Indy Star, etc...

She is on the front page of Drudge Report, first time I think I've ever seen IndyCar there:

LOOOOOOL.... Helio with his pot and Danica almost smaller than her thingy... this is so great!
IndyCar rulez :)
Helio is on the move currently - this is the way to win a championship.

my point was that why hype up Danicas first win on indycar.com so much when just two weeks ago they did bugger all for Grahams first win.

Congrats to Danica. I've been critical of her, but I have to give it up on this one.

Like it or not fellas, this can only be good for the sport. She's been all over the networks and ESPN.

Kudos Danica! Good to see you finally made it.

There was no way to play the gender card with Graham.

In modern day America, you can get a lot of press if you can play up the gender or identity angle.

Maybe if Graham publicly announces that he's gay or something like that, he can get some press too. :dozey:
