Didn't they test something very similar last year?

Yep, they were dubbed the "elephant" wings back then. Looked hideous then, look hideous now. Nothing has changed.

Aren't all these stupid appendages going to be banned in 2009? I would have thought that Honda would be focussed on bits of the car they can still use next year.

Oh, and those wings haven't got any prettier since last year.

Since they have Ross Brawn they think that as long as they mathematically can still win the title they have to give it a go! :D

Honda was always a white elephant in it's current guise anyway. :)

The Spirit of Ecstasy on steroids comes to mind here. ;)

Glad it wasn't just me who thought is was a reinterpretation of the Spirit of Ecstacy!

If I was marshal and picked those up at an end of a GP, I wouldn't mind putting it on my desktop.

Personnaly I care not what it looks like, as long as it makes for better racing.

Which is pretty close to what any racing engineer will tell you, which is that they care not what it looks like, so long as it gives an advantage.

agreed

since when did "eye-pleasing" be a barometer for effectiveness.

I say let them all in, it all ads to distinguisihng the cars and making them unique. Let's worry about good racing and better cars first, then beauty second.
