Hey guys,

Well, it's only a week now until Australia's only real tarmac rally - Targa Tasmania.

Mazda today launched its cars and stuff, one of which will be driven by Alister McRae. That should be cool to see, even if it's only a show room car.

Should be interesting to see what roll the weather will play in this year's race. It's always a factor somehow.

Hopefully Jim Richards will get up again...that guy is amazing!

Any Metro 6R4's in it this year?

Hmm, none that I've seen sorry. A few Lambos, not exactly the same thing are they?

Steve Glenney is still leading with multi-time Targa winner Jim Richards in third. The last couple of days should be interesting!

Has been an interesting event so far, quite a bit of carnage and people trying to win the event in the first couple of days. A big issue has been people leaving oil trails on the racing line, in some cases causing some quite big accidents.

We have had a good run so far with Ray beating all his times from previous years, with the average speed increase of about 1.5 secs per km.

We are looking forward to the last 2 days with some very high speed stages Saturday and the twisty stuff Sunday.

Glenney is ahead by 37 secs from Weeks with Jim Richards 3rd.

Will report in on Sunday night.

Cheers

Ray
