The car is the same. I know that they have two 207 in their garage. I heard that they are going to change cars in the middle of 2008, and sale the car that they are using since last year.

Bernd Casier has tested yesterday with the VW Polo S2000 for the upcoming TAC Rally in Tielt. He was really fast and spectacular with the car. More pictures on www.tombuyse.net (http://www.tombuyse.net/)

If I saw it right the numberplate of Casier's VW Polo S2000 for TAC-rally this weekend is YNF-583. Normally it is a brand new car, that arrived from South-Africa only last week, after the other new Polo was destroyd in the testing accident of Larry Cols. :(

The Polo involved in the tragic crash, is that one written off, and therefore not part of the database, or is it missing ?

It would also be helpful to have a counter showing the total number of cars in the database, somewhere on the frontpage. So it is easier to se changes since last time, and know how big the DB is.

I think that is a good idea Sulland, and i also like your idea of some kind of a counter to see how much cars are in the database and when there are additional cars added. Maybe it is not so difficult to realise that guys? As i am not a specialist of that matter i wonder if it would be possible? Thanks anyhow for the fantastic initiative an keep the good work up. :)

Is the result for each rally where the team ended in the total, or in the class it ran in ?

Both would be preferable, since total depends on number of A8 cars and so on. So maybe another column with result in class ot total - depending on what the current result column is refering to ?

however I found some more and because I am not able to reach the database guys directly (the contact buttom is still broken) I like to post the cars in rallyes here.

I cannot guarantee that everything is perfect, but I have fotos of rallyes of all cars stated below

hope this helps youz all who are intrested in S2000 especially like I am:

Thank you very much for your help.

Only a question: Benedict's 207 in Bosh Rally had KN S 037 (SK) plate.

Second TRT 207 has KN S 035 (SK) plate.

Anyone knows more?

great homepage!

i dont know if its important, but i know that this car: http://www.s2000rally.com/car-detail.php?car=33 run at a german rallye-spint last year too. it was the premier run of an s2000 car in germany(so thats kind of important at last for me ;) ). the driver was, as far as i know, the romo-team owner r. leschhorn ( i dont know his first name, maybe rainer?). the car had number 0, so it was out of competition. the rallye sprint is called "rallyesprint.eu".

here are two pictures of the car:

http://www.rallye-mad.com/assets/images/db_images/db_4s20001.jpg

http://www.rallye-mad.com/assets/images/db_images/db_s2000_21.jpg

you can use them for the database if you like. i can sent them in high resolution and without watermark too.

and what about the old vw polo s2000 version that ran in africa?

i mean this one here: http://www.sasol.com/sasol_internet/motor/images/habig_polo_03_mp_big.jpg

and i also know about a lada s2000 and proton is developing something too.

also back from Protugal

Rosettis car has in front the french plate 257 EHS 78 and on rear the (official) italian plate DN 033 NG

also I had a word with the guys from TRT: there are definatly only two 207 in this Team (both owned by TRT - Schmidt is only doing the technical work for both cars) Chassis 07 and chassis 42

because they are not able to get hungarian licences for this cars both are driving with slovakian plates , but this plates (30,35 and 37 and my be others) may be mixed and are not fixxed to a special car of both.
This time they run with the 35 plate on chassis 42

Gentleman driver Rune Danneborg from Norway drove the Polo S2000 in Lille Mats rallyspecial, May 2nd in Sweden. This was a rental, but the plan is to buy and take delivery of the car late 2008. Delivery not possible earlier due to the unfortunate surcomstances with Rene Georges Rallysport's accident. He and Thomas Kvam has bought an 2002 Focus WRC to drive while waiting for the s2000 car.

Hi Katxal, you are right, at first i didn't noticed it, but when i had a look at the pictures i have from sezoens i saw it too. On most foto's he has VQN-424 on the front bumper, but on some others he has VYH-532. It is also a mistery for me why this is the case, maybe Jack DeKeyser (GTA) can help us out here?
At the back he had VYH-532, and that is the plate that is official one in Belgium, the front one doesn't mean much over here i guess. Sorry about the confusion. ;)

Is the result for each rally where the team ended in the total, or in the class it ran in ?

Both would be preferable, since total depends on number of A8 cars and so on. So maybe another column with result in class ot total - depending on what the current result column is refering to ?

It would also be helpful to have a counter showing the total number of cars in the database, somewhere on the frontpage. So it is easier to se changes since last time, and know how big the DB is.

Have you looked into options for these features, and/or a date for when the DB was last updated. The only way to see now is to follow new cars, but no way of following new results. Maybe also a column for latest added results under the one for new cars ?

yes I agree totally with Sulland, just a quick message on the homepage "last rallies results...." or just a date when the last update was made would be very helpfull.
hope the guys of the database will start a feature like this.

The results which I posted in "my" update are allways the total results.

Sorry guys, totally understand the job/family issue, and just want to add that the database is impressive - Thank you ! Please keep up the good work for the good of all of us !! :D

But it would be very useful to get result in class. Since that is telling the real story. With 10 A8 cars, being 11 on the totall list does not show the real story - that you won your class. Pls concider adding that. If people are doing statistics, that is the interesting info !

some more results of the weekend 5,6,7. June 2008, which are not listed in the database yet.

First of all there seems to be a second Punto of Team Dambra from Italy:

Dambra2 - DL 639 WX - 37. Rally delle Valli Impresi (Italy zona3) - Alessio Pisi/I - 3.
the first Dambra was at the Rally Phoenix at same time in Sizilia

Fiat Turkey - 16 T 8450 (?) - 65th Rajd Polski (Poland + ERC)- Volkan Isic - 10.
never seen a photo with a readable plate, and I was a bit confused because they have now white letters "ABARTH" on the front, which normally only the Abarth works cars have, but the plate at the rear was definatly yellow, so it should be a turkish one.

Peugeot 207:
Cersanit Rally Team - TK 6728 A - Rajd Polski - M.Solowow - 3.
Hroch Racing Team - BA S 123 - 4. Eurostroj Schlager Rally Trisnov (czech rallysprint championsh.) - J.Petak - 1.
Kronos Racing - IRC 207 - Rajd Polski - Krystztoff Holowczyk/POL - 19.
MM R Rallyrent - GD 6390 R - Rajd Polski - M.Malyszczycki - retired
Peugeot Sport Polska - WI 9406 H - Rajd Polski - B.Bouffier - 2.

He could have just been saying it was a brand new car after Thursday's shakedown stage Mark - almost like an excuse due to them only being 22nd fastest? Prior to the raly, I had heard that BGM were using the Stobart car for Ypres and were stripping off the old livery. It certainly had the LS54 DMU registration number.

I spoke to someone from the MG team on Rally Bohemia yesterday, and the car didn't actually retire - contrary to earlier reports.

The MG was actually facing two further special stages before the car's power steering problems could be fixed in service, prior to tackling the last two stages of the rally. As they were facing 21 kms of stage mileage, plus the additional road mileage over the next 2.5 hours till service, the team made the conscious decision to take no further part in the rally and preserve the car and crew for another day. They WITHDREW and did not retire therefore.

If the car had the same problems on Day 1, it would have had less of an effect due to the nature of the faster, less twistier stages.

What car has used Donchev in the last run of the bulgarian championship, the rally Stari Stolitzi, which he finished as a winner (?) ?

It seems not to be a racing lions ??

here a foto I found on the page of the rally

http://www.sportmarketing.bg/rally/staristolici/news_detail_bg.php?r5=_5&idd=0000000047

plate is 405 H 241
any ideas ??

I know that Donchev bought the car from Racing Lions (DG 019 BX).
This new plate looks like a bulgarian provisonal plate.

i'm waiting for a confirmation...

Hello to everybody
From today s2000rally has a little different homepage.
We put last inserted results and cars in the main area instead of news.
More changes are coming in next days...

First, this site is so useful and well updated - so thanks to the team behind it for that !

We should have the same for WRCars !

Are you planning any other upgrades for the site, and if so are you open for lessons identified by your readers ?

the homepage is great, but why was the newest update that only the first and the last 5 events are shown? I would like it better how it was before, that you can see all results of the car

Rallyworld.net is the best site covering the South African Rally scene.

I am really sorry that the DB site no longer is updated. Was it too much work for those involved ?

To say the truth, there is too many S2000 cars and it wasnt able to have all events and all cars correctly. Also there are problems, that isnt easy to identify the car (it isnt easy to check chassis number on each event and use plates for identify is not relevant).
