at one point we almost had ten different tracks to race at, but that has just changed back to nine
Anyone know what the 10th track almost was? Maybe getting Mondello back?

I would expect that was 10 different tracks (2 layouts at Brands) rather than 10 circuits.

If we swapped one of the Brands layouts for Mondello that would make 10 venues, possible since Rockingham came 'online' again.

Well spotted KILOHMUNNS!
IF they had used the GP layout at Brands Hatch, that would have made 10, all different!
But now we have two on the 'Indy' track!
I hate that term 'Indy'! Technically it is not the 'Indy' track. They have changed the layout since they came all those years ago!
Why not the 'DTM' or 'Champ Car' track?
Why not read the full story? http://www.motorbaseperformance.co.uk/man-behind-the-lens/man-behind-the-lens-01.html

Donington has two alternative tracks with the Melbourne loop and without, and Oulton Park has theoretically three layouts. So that makes 14/15 possible tracks.

Totally forgot the two alternatives at Silverstone.

There are 3 different track layouts at Silverstone..
As you say. Three at Oulton Park and Two at Donington. AND I believe Donington and Knockhill have or had a licence to run in the reverse direction. As does Mallory, but they don't count as the BTCC don't go there!
So how many we talking now? 17 different from the current circuits used?
Oh don't forget Rockingham! They have...... about 12 different layouts!?
I've lost count now!

If you count the South and Stowe circuits then Silverstone have 5!

Peter, you're right Knockhill did have a licence to run in reverse however I think the licence lapsed due to safety issues.
Anyway going up Duffus just aint the same as going down it. Not that I've been 'up' it!!

I'd love to see the BTCC back on the Silverstone GP circuit instead of the piddly national one. They might be a bit slow for the GP circuit these days though! I'd like to see them also use the Oulton Park circuit with the Shell Hairpin too. Oh, and forget Mondello Park, Castle Combe is where they should visit!

Yeah, I agree with that, was watching the 1992 Title decider - the Infamous 'Cleland - Soper' race, on the full GP track. Agree about the Oulton Park full circuit, and the Brands Hatch GP circuit. I still think it's a cop out that they are not using it. Personally, they should only make 1 visit to each circuit.
