I was wondering if anyone might be able to help me out. I might be writing an essay for a collection on motorsports about the differences between car racing in America and Europe. Right now I'm not sure what the topic might be, but I was going to focus on rallying in Europe and in America and how people associated with the sport think about masculinity, nationality and authenticity. I'm going to write about F1 and Nascar too, and I have sources for those sports, but none for rallying.

Does anyone have any good, serious essays on rallying? I'm looking for anything, really, but articles with a focus on rallying and culture are best. English or German preferred.

If they're not online we might be able to email.

Thanks in advance!

I have an article I wrote on the BTRDA in 2005 which, although out of date, might help a bit - it can be found on my website www.geoffmayesmedia.com (http://www.geoffmayesmedia.com) in the articles section.

Hope it helps. ;)
