Fifth Gear @ Daytona 500

Anybody else watch it last night?

Very good behind the scene stuff, not the usual beginners guide to NASCAR feature I was expecting.

They had access to the infield, met a guy who built his own viewing stand with 2x4 wood!

Made me want to go to Daytona even more badly and feel the thunder. Feeling that draft on your face looks immense!

it was such a great advert for NASCAR. i don't know what the viewing figures are for Fith Gear, but it should hopefully introduce some curious people to watch a few races!

btw, i just found out the viewing figures for the Daytona 500 in the UK: 43,000

I also wonder if nascar gets more viewers than badminton.

Thanks thats interesting reading.Christ we really are a minority sport!!
Its shocking how much wrestling is on sky sports,but of a contradiction as well it even being on a sports channel.
