There was all this talk of Dan Clarke going to the IRL before the merge came about, saying that he wanted to try his luck over in this series, but ever since the two merged, his name has not come up once. What's the story?

My first thought was that, if I was an IndyCar driver, I really wouldn't want to see Dan anywhere near me at 1.5 mile speedway.

last i heard (pre merger) was he was lining up a second seat at panther.

he brings money from ticketmaster plus some family cash.

He announced his retirement last August. He was just using his connections to help put this deal together.

I think it was December 1st as his first day retired.

Cascar? You mean Ranger and Tags? 0-2 on your posting in this thread alone!

The IRL is not the place for a driver with a reputation of hitting damn near everything on a track humanly possible ,every event, moving or not. I'm certainly not underwriting anything with him in a car.

I hope to hell he doesn't end up in the IndyCar Series - he's the kind of guy who makes the pace car driver nervous. :|

well, I see it's official that his ride from last season is out, so options are dwindling.

Think it's too late for a mulligan?
