Vouilloz fastest of all :)

Yes, and about three seconds faster as Loix, so the fight for the podium goes on. ;)

Cavallini lost a lot
Edit: small off for Cavallini...

But as on live-timing they have often wrong times for this year Sanremo(it's not the first time they remove 1 minute to some drivers) :mark:

STAGE STOPPED once again(accident of Broccoli - crew OK)

One more stage stopped, the backrunners don't have much luck, they competed at exactly one stage today. If you go and count the price/Km i think they will think twice before entering this rallyformat again.

It seems that 50th aniversary will be remembered as one of the worst years :(

For those who haven't seen TV. Scandola broke both right wheels, tried to continue (those sparks were because back of his car was sliding on the road). Sotille hit a wall by the right back of the car. Casier also hit a wall or something in left hand corner. Looked like he may ripped his front right wheel off.

Although i am not happy about the accidents it shows that the San Remo rally is a true challenge for driver skill. Its very nice that we didn;t have any injuries so far.

So sad Gilles Panizzi didn't take part to it this year...regarding his experience of the roads and last year's pace of him with the S2000 he could have done something really good ;(

But money, money and sponsors are all what drivers need at all costs to do their favourite sports

I'd like to see Panizzi also in a 207...but if my memery is good: last year his pace wasn't that good, at least less than I expected....
Yes, thats what they need for rallying:€'s

It was his first competition in a S2000 car. Would like to see him back in IRC next year

wwbroe
26th September 2008, 15:23
What a pace from Elwis Chentre, he is still in first place in 2WD category and has extended his lead to second place man to 17,5 s. Another difference is that Elwis in in A6 class and the folowing cars are all A7 class. Great pace of Chentre once more. ;)

He was among the top 3 on the two first stages...at the end of the rally he was 4th overall...but hampered by an accelerator problem caused him late at assistance with 40s penalty(anf fall 7th overall) all that for his first outing in competition with the car I don't think it was what we can call off the pace :p :

wwbroe

Good morning, stage 9 should be live now. ;)

wwbroe
27th September 2008, 08:21
Basso 12'30"4 and Rosetti 12'33"8 ;)

wwbroe
27th September 2008, 08:26
Best time for Vouiilloz with 12'28"1, who jumps obver Loix to third position. Time of Loix is 12'28"1.

27th September 2008, 08:36
Andreucci is loosing a lot of time, he lost 2'40" on this stage, what is happening with him?

wwbroe
27th September 2008, 08:37
If i understand it right he had a puncture at the left side?

wwbroe
27th September 2008, 08:38
And Longhi is now in front in Gr. N category, i mean without the S2000 cars. ;)

wwbroe
27th September 2008, 08:46
Great time for Patrizia Sciascia who is setting tenth time on this stage. ;)

wwbroe

Rosetti is 11"5 faster then Basso on stage 10.

karlzoro
27th September 2008, 09:07
Loix 9 faster than Rossetti

wwbroe
27th September 2008, 09:08
Best time for Loix who is another 8"9 sec faster then Rosetti. Great time by Freddy ;)

wwbroe
27th September 2008, 09:11
It is taking a long time before they have time of Vouilloz?

karlzoro

yes, thats my feeling also..

wwbroe

Vouiiloz another 2,5 sec faster, it will be close for second and third podiumplace. ;)

karlzoro

??? I don't see any times....

edit: OK now

wwbroe
27th September 2008, 09:18
Vouilloz only 0.6 sec behind Rosetti now, if he finishes second i think the championship may be over? ;)

karlzoro
27th September 2008, 09:19
on 12u42 & 13u24 I will behind my computer to follow the last stages...
0.6s: the advantage of Rossetti on Vouilloz...Freddy on 8s of 2nd place

wwbroe
27th September 2008, 09:21
Andreucci, and Travaglia are both in general classification after stage 10, so i guess the news of their retirement was false. ;)

karlzoro
27th September 2008, 09:24
See you all this at 12h42 for the last stages....

wwbroe
27th September 2008, 09:25
Navarra, who restarted under "superrally" is making strong time also, with second time overall, at only a few tenths of a second of Vouiiloz' time.

wwbroe
27th September 2008, 09:33
Let's say Basso wins and Vouilloz second, then championship is still open, but Basso will have to go to China to take victory over there. As Voullioz is not going there normally, everything will be to play for in Valais in four weeks time. ;)

Macro
27th September 2008, 09:46

Tom206wrc
27th September 2008, 09:48
Big attack from Vouilloz and in a lesser extent from Loix on Rossetti for 2nd position today :p :

But anyway Rox priority is the CIR not really IRC

wwbroe
27th September 2008, 09:49

I don't think so, why do you ask?

wwbroe
27th September 2008, 09:51
Another fine performance of Chentre Elwis, i cannot repeat it enough, this guy really has the pace. Love to see him in a "bigger" car. ;)

wwbroe

2 Vouilloz
3 Rossetti
4...I hope Loix

Yes, if it is really transmission problem, he will probably loose fourth place also to Travaglia.

that are also my thoughts...it would be pitty after a strong rally of Freddy...

wwbroe
27th September 2008, 12:08
In the mean time i know for sure that Van Dalen gave team-orders to his drivers. We will see what Freddy will do on last one. Pitty it has to go like this, but i guess that is the case when you are in such a team.

Tactics for Vouilloz was go full attack and try to beat Rossetti, Freddy had to go more carefully than Vouilloz to keep the result.

It would have been better that they let Freddy go to attack Rosetti also, but i guess they prefere Nico to take second, to be more sure about championship. Still i find it a litlle bit strange tactics.

karlzoro

don't look good for Freddy...looses 1min on the last stage...Travaglia on 4??

wwbroe

Loix is loosing another 1'12" on last stage, so probably it will be only fifth for him.

PLuto

wwbroe
27th September 2008, 12:41

wwbroe

mmm...i had mixed feelings...
pitty that he loses a nice rallyresult o nthe alst 2 stages...
strange...but sh*t can happen I gues :(

Although: diserved victory for Basso & a strong performance of Basso (outstanding), Rossetti, Loix & Vouilloz for the "close racing" until the last stages

wwbroe
27th September 2008, 12:58
Now it remains to be seen what will happen in Valais. If Basso can continu his strong pace over there, and Abarth is going to do China, Giandomenico can still clinch the championship. It will be hard fight i guess. Anyhow, a deserved victory for Basso, strong pace of Voullioz and Loix, also Rosetti but he had to bear in mind his Italian championship, so i guess he wasn't flat out today.
We will see now what the rest of championship brings us.

Vouilloz is a bit of Loeb now: he has again luck and his rivals have technical problems this year or don't have the budget for a full IRC.

Well, power steering pump problem for Fabia confirmed. It was making some pulses into steering so they decided to stop preventively.
