It is a big jump, but at least not as big as a jump as Milka had, that and the fact he is 24, Milka was 35 on her debut, meaninjg the guy has a real chance of becoming a real driver.

He actually was quite impressive in Star Mazda. The year he ran he was up against probably the best Star Mazda field ever and did very well.

 real driver.
Your definition and mine might differ greatly..!
Eddie Sachs was a great driver because no one LOVED the sport more than him.
Mario is a great driver because he drove everything and won.
AJ Foyt was a great driver for the same reasons with more wins in less variety.
Donohue was great because he was the smoothest technition behind any wheel.
Jimmy was a great driver because he had the greatest amount of natural ability God had ever bestowed on a driver to date, dont' forget he drove horses on the farm!
Jimmy was !!
Tazio was great because he could manhandle the machine into submission with alacraty & success.
Zanardi is a great racing driver because of tenacity, surrvival, guts and timing.
Schumacker was a great driver because he broke 99% of the F-1 records.
BUT
I need to point out the simple fatal flaw of your post....
Milka will NEVER be THE GUY who has a real chance of becoming a
 real driver.[/quote]
unless of course she has the necessary appendage attached directly beneith where the belts come together,
;) know what I mean Vern?

Dave, all good points however I think Jarramide was referring to the driver in the title of this thread.

 In an effort to dig out from under any misunderstanding ( & save a bit of face)
Consider this perspective, which is as valid as any of reason.
Pablo JUST might be a GREAT racing driver!
at least he is the greatest one in his family present or passed.
I was the 1st member of my dads side of the family to go to college OR serve my country in the military going all the way back to when an ansestor jumped the Canadian border 200 yrs ago to sell his services as a rifleman against the Brits in 1813. Thats makes me a big cheese in some peoples minds at reunions but never impressed me more than it does you!
Greatness is always in the minds of fools, the press & other people....
Jimmy always wanted to know why everyone was so slow,
never once considering the fact that HE was SO fast!!
THAT is greatness.
