Through the past week and today at the press conference, we've heard that the two series' will be doing the "buddy system" in able to get the CCWS teams up to speed, mostly for the oval program (I assume).

So far we've heard of these teams getting together, for obvious reasons:

1. N/H/L and Rahal (Rahal family ties)
2. PKV and Chip Ganassi Racing (common denominator: Jimmy)

It will be interesting to see who gets with who. Where will these teams go and why?

Maybe Penske and Walker? AGR and Forsythe? Minardi and ????

Any thoughts, guys?

I'd think they'd try to match lower budget teams with higher budget teams.

Well, Panther is getting National Guard money now. They spend a TON in marketing/advertising in sports/entertainment----surprisingly more than my beloved Marine Corps. That said, I'm not privy to how much Panther is getting out of the deal, but the car is sure pretty.

I heard Walker was with Roger's team. This was reported by Miles Nelson

During the press conference KK refered to his team as KV racing, dropping the P. I guess Petit is out.

What, no-one wants to play with AGR?? ;)

Didn't Greene and Forsythe split on bad terms way back when? PT and MA also weren't exactly best buds at NH.

Per the Indy Star:

Forsythe with AGR, KV with Ganassi, Conquest with Vision, Walker with Penske, Minardi and Coyne with Panther, Newman/Haas with Rahal, and Pacific Coast with Foyt. Rocketsports wasn't assigned.

Rocketsports wasn't assigned. Color me shocked. SHOCKED, I say! And who would want to be assigned to Paulie? TG might have to shell out some more money to get any takers on that one.

DP, GF, PG and SJ are still trying to get up from the bus they were thrown under. So much for the good news Paulie was bringing back from his European trip.

I do like that they paired teams of similar quality.

Pettit joined forces with Forsythe back in November to form Forsythe/Pettit Racing.

Pettit left PKV last year when he bought RuSports. PKV just didn't change their name until now.

Pettit hasn't been involved with the team for over a year.
