Has anyone noticed the lineup for the first round of the Pickup Trucks at Brands Hatch, supporting races include Legends Cars and the Big Trucks, will be a fantastic meeting.

Does anyone know if any new faces will be racing this year ?

Is Chris " Buzz " Dawkings do the entire season this year ?

Also will the usual guys be around this year like, Willis, Dance and Seager etc.

I can't wait !!

Most circuits we are on with the big trucks (BTRA) two dates are with FIA trucks, not to sure who's racing haven't seen a driver list as such i'm pretty certain Steve Dance,Pete Wilkinson,Gavin Seager and the Grindrods are all out but i heard Mark Willis wasn't racing this year somebody may be able to confirm this i would think most of the people who were racing last year will be back with possibly a few new names appearing.

PTR and the "super little legends" are at 6 or 7 meetings together.

The event is a bit of a clone of the November Truck Superprix. Which is great because the November meeting has been an absolute blast the last couple of years. Unfortunately I won't be able to go to either the Easter or November meetings this year but if the events are the same in '09 I'll be back.

I believe this is correct. I had heard the same news of a return to the Hot Rods. IIRC he did not turn up to the last round in November at Brands also.

Shame if Mark has gone, hopefully not for good!
I fear we have lost the Cheerios team, I contacted them last week looking for some of those hero cards they give away, got them in the post this morning.
John tells me the truck is for sale, we will miss that car!

Keeping my fingers crossed there, then; don't forget, he had the truck up for sale at the start of last year too...

Sounded definate to me from his e mail, he has tried everything to stay in the series, but couldnt raise enough funds.
Shame, nice bunch. I asked for some give aways for the boys and nothing was too much trouble.

I'll miss John and the team this year, decent blokes. Freddie won't be happy either. Took this a while back:

Lets just say that if John can't compete on the budget he has available this year, then by rights half the field sohuldn't be out on track. I hope he's out there again, top bloke and a pleasure to spot for.
