Looks like Neiksans are fastest. Are they brothers? Is it a gravel rally?

And Mitsubishi EVO IX seems to be the car of choice in Latvia :)

1. Yes, they are brothers - Maris (24) and Andis (22). In motorsports many years - karting, autocross, rally...

2. No it's winter rally, but almost no snow and ice. Something like in last week Sweden WRC, but there is little bit colder (~ - 7 -10 degrees)

Ramūnas Čapkauskas smashed his right side of front somewhere but still going. Also he has problems with turbo system. But 8th time in few stages are also a little bit poor for him,I think. And Dominykas Butvilas also slow.It looks like Lithuanians are saving cars for first Lithuania rally round.Lukoil winter rally that will be held(if air conditions will be good) after week.

Čapkauskas made some good times second day and he climbed up to 9th position.Butvilas climbed up to 15th place.Quite bad results for Lithuainians I think. But like I said propably they were saving cars.

is there a website of talsi rally?!
Nope - not a dedicated site, at least - have not been until now - all official information will be available at http://www.autorally.lv/

P.S. www.rallyemotions.net/evo9/ (http://www.rallyemotions.net/evo9/) is hosting a gallery about the process of the rally car building for LMT RT's driver Andis Neiksans. It has to be ready for Talsi event. Gallery gets updated on a weekly basis.
There are also archived galleries on Talsi rally starting from 2005.

To br21:
In short: it is tough rally as surface is gravel and quickly gets destroyed. If you are lucky to get high in the starting list - it's ok. Some crews with older 2WD cars decide not to participate in this stage as rutting prevents to get desired speeds. Last year organisers introduced a SSS on the city streets - so it was quite spectacular show, with high emotional energy and different surface (asphalt).
Participants: depending on their national calendars, there are few Lithuanian, Estonian and sometimes - Finnish crews participating. Some Russian drivers come with their own or rented cars.
Rally is a 2 day event (race itself) - Saturday, Sunday.
Stages are run only once (except for SSS) and the timetable allows plenty of time for spectators to move around and also - to visit service area. Some roads are wide, some go through forests and are bendy. There are few jumps (Strazde, for example, is as popular as Ouninpohja in Finland).
You can find timetables for Talsi rally of previous seasons from the official site
http://www.autorally.lv - look on the leftside menu for "Archive", choose season, then - from dropdown menu choose the rally. You'd be better off contacting some local drivers for more information. Would you, please, contact me via email or private message.
Hope this was somehow helpful description. And hope to see you and some other Polish drivers here, in Latvia.
Janis

Vytautas Švedas did not started because that mechanics couldn't prepare the car in time after Hansa Lizingas rally.

Does anybody know what happened to Ramūnas Čapkauskas at 9th stage?
