Competitors - Neste Oil Rally Finland
    Have someone the maps?
Just went into this and out of curiosity looked at the tyre order form - seems competitors only get to LEASE the tyres i.e. have to hand the used ones back at the end and for the privilege pay €315 plus VAT per tyre for the Michelins (or only €180 for the D-Macks). I thought my gravel tyres were expensive but never realised that WRC competitors were paying this amount for them. Do the works teams get a discount?

S and S? Naturally it is C. Sainz (celebrating 50th birthday) and T. Salonen (60 last year). No? ...

LOLORZ same for rantanen, lidroos and the list goes on and on and on...

The WRC needs the TRUE finnish champions back... not the wannabies, manager lap doggys, and media little kids we got fed for some time now

If what you say about lappi is true and he approaches his career like that then i wish him all the best and his chances are already look brighter than the jokes the media presented as future champions.

I think everyone is aware of that... that is why rallying is not for "favela boys" and you must be prepared to lose a lot of money if you want to get some back (and that is a big IF).

However i disagree that becoming a rally driver in IRC or WRC it isn't video game.... Nobre with no driving skills at all (let alone rally skills) proves that to become a WRC rally driver you need MONEY...

To become a manufacturer driver is a different story and not even talent, money, sponsors, connection can help you if you do not have luck and be there at the right time.
Ketomaa is one of most talented guys at the moment here, too bad hes chosen wrong paths during years. Crappy chinese team and DMACK now. Rantanen is just average talent with enthusiastic team around him, Lindroos is fast and poor who had golden opportunity in NORF last year.

Now you are getting true champion back when Sebastian Lindholm returns... And Juha Salo as multiple champion gets his chance with Proton. Though hes never been succesful in longer international rallyes. Hope these two WRC rounds will make an exception for him.

Lets give Lappi some time to see if he really can make it to the top. I believe he will.

Nobre is just having fun time in WRC, why wouldnt he cause he can afford it? Even he has been learning about driving during hes program. Its unfortunate that everyone aint supertalents with millions on their pockets to create career. Not every orange kicker become Pele. Rallying has always been hobby for rich people and let it be like that. That is their way to support rallying.

Nice to see Lindholm once again, but we have to remember that it's only one rally for fun (50 years in the meter tradition of Finnish champions...). Juha Salo is also past his Peak. Both of these drivers have done many things little differently than others. They have been very successful in Finland but have chosen to make rally career/business in Finland. For some (personal) reasons they have never tried 100% to build international career.

For some members who are not familiar with Lindholm: He is 8 time Finnish rally champion and has 8 second places. He is also 3 time Finnish rallysprint champion.

Ι think Lindholm has a relation with Gronholm?

    He is Grönholm's cousin.

Also, please note that in these Mini speculations, Salo in question is former F1 driver MIKA Salo, not 7-times Finnish champion JUHA Salo, as he is 100% committed to his Proton drive.

Confirmed by latest entry list: http://www.nesteoilrallyfinland.fi/a...5-38-31253.pdf

    No Mika Salo though...

EDIT: There is one addition, Joonas Lindroos with Citroën C2 R2.

Yes, like I said the latest entry list confirmed what Tinke1979 reported earlier. Tahko was already entered in S2000, he just changed car to WRC Mini. Only addition to the original list is Lindroos, who was not included at all before.

EDIT: Also, Craig Breen's co-driver has been updated to Kris Meeke's usual co-driver Paul Nagle. Looks like Breen might start after all - I really hope so and wish all the best to this crew!
