In Sweden it's possible. Hirvonen has been very strong on ice and snow.

In sweden Hirvonen has the speed to win Loeb...in Finland he can win easy with no mistakes....but we have to see him in the DS3 if he can maintain the pace.

True, however we'll see how much snow and ice there will actually be.

50km north of Hagfors there are only 10cm of snow and warmer weather is expected towards the end of the upcoming week.

The forecast that I'm looking at says that In Hamar (region first day) and Hagfors, it wil be cold this week, and next week there will be a lot of snow.

Hamar is 1 1/2 hours north of where the rally will be based in Norway, Kongsvinger is where you should look at. I think it's 10-20 cm in that area, maybe some more today. No snow forecasted for the next 10 days.

Are people blind in here??? Hirvonen has been nowhere in the last two years. He has two wins in Sweden due to road position - his other couple of wins were due to teamorders.

I am sticking with my prediction!

You overlook many "small details" like...
Mikko Hirvonnen: "I´m 10 years younger! Everything is so exiting again."

Mikko Hirvonnen: "I'm certainly not have expected that the new car would be as soon as half a second per kilometer faster."(Googlish trans.)

That says a lot, if not all.

Anyway, a different point of view is allways welcome, MikeD.

Is Göransson going to do more rallies with the official Mini team or will he be involved with the Swedish outfit?

Göransson is not involved in Swedish WRT, and probably aone off in RS. He´s gonna do swedish racing series.

Age is irrelevant - speed is relevant and the future will be about JML and Ogier ... not Hirvonen because he's isn't fast enough. The only reason he has been semi-close to the title is due to massive use of teamorders in a combination with consistency.

Hirvonen is not hired by Citroën to take titles ... he's there to secure points for the Manufacturers title.
