Don't dream too much about possibilities of the Fiestas vs the DS3s on tarmac

Germany is one of my favourite rallies, okay I admit, they could really try to reshape the route (nearly the same every year nowdays). Now when Ireland is not driven, it's the only "special tarmac" rally.

I hope Fiesta kicks ass, if it does, then I'm waiting a lot from JML. I'm also waiting a surprise from Sordo. Maybe he'll toss it or the car will go kaboom, but I'm expecting him to be fighting for a podium place.
Yeah, agree!! Needs a fresh look, new stages. It's become very monotonous - and sums up modern WRC era rallying. Thank goodness Finland/ Acropolis have done something different.
What about a stage on the Nordschleife..???

Is there a better sound than that of Porsche engined Flat-6 ???

Also very little confidence in Petter and JML (by all but one anyway!) which I disagree with - both showed much improved tarmac pace last season.
Petter wouldn't be allowed to win. Perhaps only if both the seb's have trouble. Petter will be app .4sec/km slower than the factory citroens. Maybe later this year, if Citroen wraps up both the titles early.

I think they once did that when it was still an ERC round.

I wouldn`t say it is a very long way from Trier, considering the milage on road sections in the recent Neste Oil rally.

Why not add one leg with Eifel Rallye stages (don't know anything about the stages there) and then also a run on Nordscheilfe. New stages for the rally and they could make the Mosel valley stages into a more compact one day, then one at the Baumholder and one near Daun/Nürburg. Or how ever things will run smoother.
Never stop dreaming because one day it might happen.

Nordschleife has been used as a stage in Rally Deutschland many times in the years before the rally was a part of the WRC. If my memory is right they also had the rally center at the Nurburgring once in the late 90's.

That would be cool to compare the times with local maniacs.

I wasn't suggesting Petter can win, but most have him 5th, 6th or lower which is a surprise. I disagree he'll be slower than Ogier...I think Petter is a far better tarmac driver than people give him credit for, and can see him being the 2nd fastest driver in Germany. Whether or not he can finish 2nd, for whatever reason, is another mater

defently tom! please no eifel and no nordschleife, hat would totally suck! they could so easily change all stages, there are hundrets of vineyard roads that could be used to change the stage totally in every year. and same is on panzerplatte, you could create a completely new stage there every year.

Few years ago I saw an onboard of Grönholm in Panzerplatte with the 307 (I presume it was extra on some DVD?) but now I can't find it anywhere... Anyone have any clue?

What kind of performance we can anticipate from Campana? His driving impressed me in Corsica but those were his home roads...

Corsican, 2WD winner of Tour de Corse, this year with 207 S2000 he was 4th overall and 1st privateer. Also set many good results in 2WD categories in other asphalt events like Ypres, Sanremo etc.
