New look for Wilson
Story from www.wrc.com
Briton Wilson, 25, has attracted support from several organisations based in his native Cumbria in north-west England for his first appearance in the WRC since Rallye Monte-Carlo back in January.
A statement from the M-Sport Ford World Rally Team, which will run Wilson and co-driver Scott Martin on the Cardiff-based event, said: “The new livery exemplifies Wilson’s pride to be Cumbrian as well as highlighting the county’s ever-growing commercial prowess.”
Wilson, who finished fifth in Wales last season, conducted a test in Cumbria last Tuesday and was due to run again today in the principality.
“I can’t wait to get back out on the stages, especially after we had such a good test on Tuesday,” said Wilson. “It took a little while to get back into the rhythm of driving on gravel - GB last year was actually our last run out on gravel - but once we had a few runs under our belt everything felt great.”
An exclusive Q&A with Wilson will appear on WRC.com soon.
