Argentina top five possible, says Neuville
Story from www.wrc.com
Neuville, a highly rated Belgian, is set to contest 12 rounds of the FIA World Rally Championship powered by Nokia in a Citroen Junior World Rally Team DS3 WRC.
He claimed his maiden WRC points on Vodafone Rally de Portugal last time out but needed Rally 2 regulations to reach the finish following his retirement on day two.
“I want to finish the rally without having to use the Rally 2 rules,” said Neuville. “That wasn’t possible in the last rally due to a spot of bad luck related to the very specific racing conditions. If I manage to complete the race without incident, I think I won’t be far off the top five.”
Neuville will be a Rally Argentina novice when the event gets underway with the Super Especial Amarok in Villa Carlos Paz on Thursday night.
“Obviously, this is going to be my first experience of a rally that has been described to me as difficult,” said Neuville. “There are some very unusual stages and the weather can often be changeable. But I’m here to learn and get better.”
