The British ace, who famously claimed MINIs maiden Power Stage victory on RallyRACC-Rally de Espana last October, has helped Salazar prepare for this weeks all-gravel thriller in South America.
Following a test in Portugal last month, when Meeke accompanied Salazar in a Prodrive-prepared MINI John Cooper Works WRC, Meeke said: Even though hes nearly 60 and perhaps not at the cutting edge he still has that competitive instinct and theres no question that if he can get a clean run he can be in the points. Argentina is such a difficult rally so that will be an incredible achievement but hes an accomplished guy who oozes class.
Meeke, pictured right with Salazar, continued: When you check out his history hes been there and done it all. I had to point him in the right direction in a few areas during the test but it was simple to do that. He was a pleasure to work with.
