Looks like CM have received the feedback, never reuse common stage sections again:
Paul Coleman-Senior D3 game designer-on twitter:
'We are aware of the fact that people don't like stage reuse so we may just go with less stages that are more unique.

Less stages? Why not just take more time over the game and maybe get rid of the crap like the muppet with the flag at the start of stages and the TV reporter etc

Probably not, but they are 2 small things that annoy me and dont add anything to the game!

Or how about losing the complete 'Raid' part of the game? Lose the buggys, lose the trucks and lose that tracks. Probably leaves enough data for some decent alterations without killing too many stages.
The one about the f-ing hairdresser, the space hairdresser & the cowboy. The guy, he's got a tin foil pal & a pedal bin. His father's a robot & he's f-ing f-d his sister. Lego! They're all made of f-ing lego.

I hope there's some more. I've enjoyed most of it so far, albeit a bit too expensive..
2nd place in the big quizz challenge!

Indeed. £40 on the game, then all the MS points to get extra content. Almost as bad as Forza 3, but with nowhere near as much depth as that game! I'm bored with Dirt 3 now, there's not enough to do in it. And that's just casual playing, picking up the controller for half an hour or so, not intensive 5 hour sessions every night.
You lot still here?!

It would be great if some of the tracks from the old CMR games were available for download, like australia from CMR3 or 4 and and GB from CMR 2.0

In that case they're dumb...why not build a core game that is very strong to kick off the sales. You then spend the remaining years (lets say 3) creating DL content available throught XBox Live, PSN etc that continues to build on the core game.
So many other game genres do this - RPGs for example I don;t see why racing games should be any different. The ongoing love fro CMR2 and RBR is not out of some rose-tinted wish for bygone gaming eras, it's because the games are enjoyable and a challange. I still dig our WRC2/3 to play rally games now because DiRT and the official WRC game are horrific.

Agreed! I play point to point races online for a bit, but the fact you cant put together an offline rally is ridiculous, and very annoying as you do a stage, return to menu etc.My motorsport pics here on Flickr http://www.flickr.com/photos/allyc85/sets/
