I reckon F12010 can be put on the back boiler for a while.

When I saw that Codemasters were doing the game I was a little worried, but everything I've seen since says this is going to be a corker. Xbox360 warming up for the 24th September

I generally find F1 games a bit tedious so I'm not going to bother. I'm definitely getting WRC and possibly CoD:BO and maybe GT5 too (not sure that I can dedicate the time that Gran Turismo needs) so can probably do without spending cash on F1.

Not really an F1 fan but really enjoyed the old games, not sure if I will pick this one.

yep, is sorry I meant to say F1mania2010pro for F1 challenge
from time to time I consider getting rfactor, but always come back to F1mania, perhaps this new rfactor Hd version might change my mind, but then i would need to get a proper 22 inch HD monitor now, so ...perhaps notyou can't argue with results

It's not going to be a sim. With all aids off probably pretty challenging but the goal is obviously to attract as many of the hundreds of millions of F1 fans as possible, which sadly isn't done with a hardcore sim.

I have seen this game personally and played with it on a trial basis. This is no better than grand theft auto! The designer should have made more collaborations with people on the industry.

Who needs a new F1 game when you have this awesome old one?

Muchly appreciate the input, but the manufacturers did. They have employed Anthony Davidson for the past 12 months or so to provide feedback into the way the game handles and operates.
From all the media and reports and reviews I've seen so far I would find it difficult to believe that it's not better than GTA.Ayrton Senna, Legend. R.I.P.
\"If you no longer go for a gap that exists, you are no longer a racing driver. Because we are competing. We are competing to win. And the main motivation to all of us is to compete for a victory. It is not to come third, fourth, fifth or sixth. I race to win\".

According to the devs, and the early reviews, it's as challenging as you want to make it.
Having all driving aids off against Legend AI is enjoyable and realistic for the hardcore sim racers out there, whereas more casual players can have different aids, flashbacks and the like.
I can assure you, this will not be an easy game. Anthony Davidson was a key part of the dev team, so that tells me that it will be difficult to be competitive on the hardest difficulty levels, as Ant is a sim nut.
Codies have made the game to cater to any F1 fan out there, so nobody can put a 'sim' or 'arcade' label on it.
I've pre-ordered for PS3 anyway so I can't wait for the release!

What you say is all true and I'm sure it will be a great game, but it's hard if not impossible to make a game that fulfills every criteria for an arcade aswell as a hardcore sim without compromises, and since it will be made to be enjoyed by as many people as possible it's in the latter area that most of those compromises will be made.
The devs have said themselves that the final product won't be quite up there with for example rFactor in "sim level" (or whatever you want to call it), although quite close.
Either way, I'm sure it will be great for what it is and I can't wait to play it myself!
