Another scenario that could happen is if Italy beats Costa Rica, Costa Rica beats England, and Uruguay beats Italy and you could have a team with 6 points in the group stage getting eliminated.

Now that you remind me, 2010 was dire indeed - that Algeria game..Algeria should be banned too as they only ever qualify to get a goal-less draw - and usually at the expense of Egypt and the likes.
But 2006 was when England had the most hype around them what with the Golden Generation - golden ? rubbish more like it..that T&T game is what I think really ticked me off..they scored 2 but looked horrible through-out.Tito Vilanova = :champion:
