For me the biggest disappointment is Lappi, I was expecting him to be quicker. Probably is partly due to car as suggested earlier .

Lappi looses in average 2,41 s/km. Last year Ogier in Fabia was 1,73 s/km down to winner. Paddon was last year on 1,7 s/km before he retired. At that time both Ogier and Lappi were on 1,5 s/km. Paddon is now on 2,33 s/km. What comes from that? All S2000 are slower compared to WRC now and Lappi is around 0,3 s/km slower to Paddon than last year.

Thats a nice comparison Mirek, I didn't go that far. You are right S2000 cars this year seem to be much slower than last year. Even PG with the Proton had better pace last year 2.14s/km than Paddon this year.

My point is that I expected Lappi to be ahead of Paddon at least, mostly due to that a lot of people rate him very high. Btw, did he have any significant problem this year (cant remember)?

I know from Fred Miclotte that Fabia they drove this year in Ypres was significantly better than the one from 2011. Reasonably stronger engine, completely different dampers etc. But that goes to works car. These upgrades (I think especially the engine is 2013 evolution) may not be present in car of Lappi or Paddon. I have no idea about that.
