Mirek, I do not know if tyres are one of the reasons, but a thing is sure, all contestants in the top of the classification know this rally as their garden. What is not the case of Latvala and Tanak. And this is a big difference for the result.

Yes but still if they are on WRC control tyres, it's big disadvantage for them. These tyres have one common thread for dry or wet surface and therefore looses a lot to slicks.
