Drivers on a diet for 2011
Following the reinsertion of KERS for next season, both Rubens and Fernando agreed to lose weight.
As next year cars are heavier, drivers now must face the consecuenses. Alonso stated he wants to lose at least 2 kg before Bahrein. Rubens has a harder task, keen on loosing about 7 kg (almost as much as Robert Kubica had by 2009, when KERS made it's debut).

Are these guys race car drivers or bikini models?
I think we're going to start seeing more drivers with eating disorders.

Indeed. The weight, height etc of a driver should not matter! It's their skill that's important!

Yeah, if the "base" weight of the car is increased then surely the minimum start weight should be increased as well? KERS nor any other additional technology should affect the drivers diets.

Oh, alright then, my bad. Still, I'd prefer to see a higher treshold so you don't get a disadvantage for being tall. It's not like anyone can get away with a lazy once-a-week training program anyway, it's still a very demanding sport without having to worry about weight.

I wonder how Mikey is doing with his diet?
Almost all Finn's since Paavo Nurmi who are fast in their sport have been called "Flying", particularly the 1960's rally drivers, but I was actually thinking of "Flying Finnish" - the timing line at...
