Harry Schnell in qualifying for the 1960 International Trophy at Silverstone.

Ricardo Rodriguez in qualifying for the non-championship 1962 Mexican Grand Prix

And Louis Rosier died after crashing at Montlhery in 1956, but I'm not sure whether it was a race weekend or testing.

Surprisingly there weren't that many. I've also found

Charles de Tornaco, 1953 Modena GP

There's a site called GP Reqiem or something like that which documents all racing fatalities in a very respectful and non-sensational format.

Yes, I think that you are referring to MotorsportMemorial. It is an excellent, informative and, as you have mentioned, sensitive site.
