Pescarolo-Sport reinforced for the future !!!

    Hi,

Big announcement made by Henri Pescarolo yesterday !!!

Pescarolo and Nicolet, from the Saulnier-Racing, decided to associate themselves in order to re-inforce their team on the technical and financial levels !!!

The new society will be called "Pescarolo Automobiles" and will be equally managed by Henri Pescarolo and Jacques Nicolet who will prepare a totally new LMP2 prototype in addition with the LMP1 for the 2008 season(LMS+Le Mans)...

Pescarolo is even talking about three LMP1s under the Pescarolo-Sport colours for next year

The LMP2 sould run under the Saulnier-Racing colours...

2008 looks more and more like a great endurance season in Europe

EDIT: Pescarolo is also aiming selling lots more self-made endurance cars(LMP1/2)to other teams next year...

Pescarolo are also entering into a technical partnership with Martin Shorts Rollcentre Racing to develop the car. Apparently they (Rollcentre) ran their car at Silverstone a few weeks ago with a new, self developed front end aero that Short said was a big step forwad and has offered it to Henri's team.

All from Autosport a couple weeks ago.

I hope we will see a better 2008 season as the 2007 was a peugeot one man show...

well, it will be a two team show next year,

until the ACO lets the Gas cars run with more power, it will be a diesal always winning.

the only reason the Porsches were winning in the ALMS was because of some of the small twisty turn, tight tracks that favor the LMP2 cars
Brian France is a violation of Section 12-1 (actions detrimental to stock car racing)

I think it should be pointed out that Audi will only fully commit to the LMS when the Spa date has been changed (clashes with DTM and ALMS, meaning they probably want to use drivers from those two for the LMS) and when they anounce a better TV and promotion deal.

And with regards to the ALMS, they are waiting for IMSA to decide on whether to impose the 50kg weight hike the ACO have madated for LMP2 cars, they dont want to stay otherwise (might be just possturing though).
