How awesome is Lance Stroll ?
Off season is fun sometimes .
Alonso is out with comments about how Lance could be world champion some day , as he's got the chops .
He makes his point , saying he's shown some fine wet weather driving .
Most sites covered it with a very muted tone of implied underlying sarcasm that was friggin' hilarious .
Best comment of all , though , came from Ralph Shoe , who , when told of Lance being touted by Fred to be WDC material , said " Yeah , and F1 cars can fly ." .
I thought immediately of the race last year where Lance's team mate flew over his rear tire .
Ralph likely missed the irony entirely .
I also saw another article that asked which driver had a net worth more than ten times that of Lewis .
Lance stands to inherit dad's $3.8 billion .

Lance is a pretty cool shark. I've started to warm up to him. It will be interesting to see how the team goes this year. I'm hoping Fred, and Lance have a super season.
Hail........both of themMay the forza be with you

It all depends on the wheels beneath him. Under the right circumstances Button won one. So Lance can too.
But Ralf is just bitter. To get to the F1 grid, you have to be the best driver in your country. Ralf wasn't even the best driver in his family.

It's nice to see some support for Lance amongst us , as I think the vast majority out there think he's a waste of a seat .
He certainly had an easier road to that seat than most , if you're not looking at it from dad's point of view .
But , dad had Massa , who pouted and fought , rather than mentored .
That was a mistake .
Vettel was a score , and it looked like things ran smoother .
Now , he has the best to learn beside .
And soon , a new factory with a shiny new wind tunnel .
The ducks are starting to line up .
Who knows what could happen ?

What could happen? Sonny boy to disappoint, that's what!
" Lady - I'm in an awful dilemma.
Moe - Yeah, I never cared much for these foreign cars either."

It's hard to say with Alonso making the comments. It could be his first bit of the phycological warfare that is bound to come. This way he can tell Lawrence that he fully supported Lance until the lights went out, and then destroy him on track.
Lance isn't terrible, and has his days, but hard to say how good he really is until the car is better.

Button was actually a top F1 driver though. He was the first person to beat Hamilton and Alonso over the course of a season. That’s no easy feat.
Ralph is irrelevant. While Lance has shown the odd flash of genuine speed here and there, it’s really been only 3-4 times in his career. Brass tax is there are far more deserving drivers that should have a F1 seat over him and he would not be in F1 were it not for his Daddy.

At 19:15 Saturday, the FIA are announcing a new WRC event for 2025 at Sardegna. The event, I don't know - perhaps Paraguay.
