McRaes R4
Couldnt find the old thread..
Recent testing went very well according to a recent MN, http://uk.cars.yahoo.com/12072006/45...y-road-13.html
Interesting to see how far back the engine sits.. http://uk.cars.yahoo.com/12072006/45...y-road-13.html
Something I bet the WRC manufacturers wish they could do!
Anyone know anything about the suspension on the car?The emergence of the new 'Rainmaster' - Mad Max at Interlagos 2016!

Have you checked the dates on those articles?
I will be rich, as soon as I invent a machine that can punch a man in the face over the internet.

From the news section at Colins website
"Date: 9 th March – We hit the dirt for the first time!
Earlier this week we gave the R4 its first proper shakedown, and it felt really good. Dave Plant and his whole team from DJM. were in attendance. On the Tuesday we put some road miles on it, then on Wednesday we took it to a stretch of forest. We had the use of a 2.5 mile loop which was quite rough and bumpy, but that’s what we wanted.
There’s not one production part on the machine and the fact that nothing fell off or broke during the 60 mile test was really good. We were all very pleased.
To finally get in the car, which felt as good as it did, well, it really puts a smile on your face.
The idea of course is to build a National spec ‘formula’ car, which is less complicated than a WRC machine with a basic mechanical set-up, but which will offer drivers a fast and reliable rally car. The way it performed was more than I expected.
The car is now back at DJM for a complete check-over before we concentrate on a series of constant high speed tarmac work"The emergence of the new 'Rainmaster' - Mad Max at Interlagos 2016!

actually it looks way better that when it was all red, the livery is nice, and maybe in white the silver decals wouldnt look so good

It looks good, although I'd change the livery, I really hope it proves to be a successful formula.
