Thanks for Petters job to start the Norwegian rally wave both nationally and internationally, and for kickstarting the Rallycross interrest again after the Martin Schanche period.

With his straight forward and heart on sleeve way of being, he has been the dream sponsorobject for many companies over the years.

Hopefully we will be seing some driving in lower level series in the future. Maybe ARX this year, and his farewell tour of course. And maybe involved as team manager some day.

Job well done so far Petter, thx !!

I first heard about Petter when I bought some Swedish rally magazine (can't remember the name though) in the summer of 1998. The feature story was about Juha Kangas signing a multi-year deal with Subaru and then there was maybe one or two pages about some Norwegian brothers driving Celicas. I didn't pay too much attention, as all Norway had ever produced was John Haugland, and when talking about Skoda drivers, we still had Kilu Aho to counter with. Then I remember being amazed when Ford signed him for 1999 together with Rådström and Jean-Joseph - why didn't they sign Jarmo Kytölehto instead?

Maybe now I have to admit I underestimated Petter back then. What a showman and - above all - what a driver. Thanks for the memories.

    Petter Solberg Farewell Tour

Petter is on the last stretch of his farewell tour, doing the rally where he won first, took his world championship title, and really enjoy driving. Back again with Phil Mills.

Will he beat Oliver, who starts his first WRC round in similar car material??
