Quick summary of the route:
Castelsardo from 2014
Tergu - Osilo from 2017
Monte Baranta reversed from 2015
Coiluna Loelle from 2017
Cala - Flumini from 2017
Sassari - Argentiera from 2017
Tula, Monte Lerno and Monti di Ala quite heavily modified but with many familiar parts from various years.

I see that this time completely without Olbia. It is really history when I was in Sardegna last time. I have been there 6x or 7x, but always when base was in Olbia. I have never been in Alghero...

Also in 2015 and 2016 Olbia stages were not in the itinerary. In 2015 on friday they went south Alghero in the Oristano province. In 2016 itinerary was very similar to this one. Olbia's stages came back last year on friday with a parc fermé in Olbia on thursday.
Alghero is the base since 2014. The rally is now at his 15th edition. It's starting to get mature.

I am a bit new here but maybe somebody can give me some tips. Never been to a WRC event but really thinking about going to Sardegna with my girlfriend, since we are living close in Malta.
Been a huge WRC and rally fan from my sofa but honestly have no idea about the experience of watching a rally live. So maybe someone can give a few pointers for instance what/where should we look for information, how do you find the best places to watch the stages and so on to a total noob in that sence.
Also how is Rally Sardegna from the viewpoint of a spectator compared to other events.
Any info is much appreciated.
you do realize that the power form the hybrid unit is not constant... It's there only for very short periods. So for a first time out it won't make a big differance
