Some basic things:
-Buy official rally-magazine (Tuulilasi), it has good overall map and separate stage maps. Driving directions and spectator tips in ENGLISH.
-Prepare to pay for parking or prepare to walk from long distance.
-Listen rally radio (99,3mhz), it tells all important stuff also in English (traffic, possible schedule changes and results)
-Be ready to change your plans during rally, traffic jams are very difficult to know. Some years from Jyväskylä to Jämsä takes 45min and sometimes 2h30min...
There are no bad stages in Rally Finland, every stages has some good viewing points. You have to choose based on what kind of action you like: Jumps, crossings, high speed action etc.
Maybe some non Finnish people are better to tell some tips because us finns live here everyday."quattro best 4wd rallycar ever"

Watched the rest of the recce videos for chicanes. Some of them are innovative, like going around a triangle-shaped junction. The rest are just junctions to the side that will have a hay bale for an artificial twist on a straight road.

So, you´ve never been to Finland then. Bcs, it´s not only about flying (yes it´s the sign of the rally - but almost all has flying high as their sign). Finland has it all. And no problem reaching stages by car. I´d say the opposite. Easy.
Having said that as a Swede, but I´m sure my finnish friends agree."Reis vas pät pat kaar vas kut"

I was in Finland in 2011 and it was great but I really don't like sitting in a plane and by car it's very far to drive up to Finland. Maybe one day as a road trip through Baltics.
