I expect the Toyotas to really fight for the victory here. As seen in Sweden, fast roads make the Yaris the car to beat.

Better to have a crash in Ypres than in Poland...
Yaris should be fast but the question is if Latvala has gotten over Poland 2009? Last three rallies here it doesn't seem like he has. For a rally that should suit him perfectly he really hasn't lived up to the expectations.

A chick like Maisa could do wonders for your confidence, but can just as easily frustrate the sh!t out of your soul. Let's hope it's not the latter
Congrats to Latvala though. Hope the Toyota gang do well in Poland.

Never been a fan of Latvala, specially in the later VW years. Constant issues with confidence/setup/car and constant excuses by his fans (blaming the team for favoring Ogier)...++.
But have to say I am very impressed by him this year.
Within a month with him at the team the Toyota tarmac vids showed a massive improvement. Driving rallies he's both reasonably fast and keeping it on the road without issues when he cant charge for wins. (One crash in 7 rallies is totally normal)
That said since this is Rally Poland thread I don't see him as the main favorite for win, that's Tanak due to his last year performance, recent performance in Sardinia and road position. But Latvala is probably about equal favorite with Neuville to round up the top 3. Ogier will likely loose too much with road position.
Paddon is the joker here but those two off might dent his confidence.
Mikkelsen, Breen and Lappi are candidates for top 5 and some fast times here and there but don't expect sustained top 3 performance. Especially if it rains at some point.

Tänak will definitely be strong in this event, but maybe it`s too much to expect the same kind of performance this year. He admitted himself that last year he had some better aces (DMack+ road position in addition to his favourite kind of roads ) and wanted to take his first victory very badly and still all this meant taking big risks, hence the emotional finish. As he said it himself, podium would be nice in this tough competition...ofcourse me, other fans and probaly himself secretly want a win.
