Rally Rzeszow 2016
Rally Rzeszow is the 7th round of European Rally Championship. It takes place on narrow, winding tarmac roads in the foothills of the Carpathian Mountains in southeast Poland, close to the Ukranian and Slovakian borders. It is going to start on 04/08/2016.
Official website:

Entry list:

Rally Rzeszow is going to make its debut in the ERC, but in the past this rally was won by Bryan Bouffier 4 times, by Kajto twice and by Grzyb also twice.

Interesting entry list. I mean interesting is the fact that there are so few Czechs and Slovaks or simply anybody from middle europe. Tarabus could be very fast on such surface but he is not there. I also expect Tlustak to be quite fast....well, "fast" is strong word, but I think the surface will fit him.
Visit South Moravia. It is the real paradise

Really weak list. I wanted to go but it doesn't look worth it
Is there any reason why entry fee was 3x higher than for Barum?Stupid is as stupid does. Forrest Gump

Thank god Bouffier is there so there might be some kind of fight until his Citroën breaks down.

Ralfs Sirmacis is trying to raise money through his Facebook page in order to compete in Rally Rzeszow. If you want to fund his start visit his fan page at https://www.facebook.com/ralfs.sirmacis?fref=ts and transfer the money to the bank account given there
He is apparently still missing 40 000 Euro. Is it a lot? How much of a budget does one need in order to drive 1 ERC round?
By the way - how would you guys invest if you had the money? Would you bet on Bergkvist (who is trying to collect money in a similar way in WRC2) or Sirmacis?http://www.rallymadness.prv.pl - rally photos and movies!

If I had the money, I would invest in Sirmacis. With so little experience in a 4WD car, he showed exceptional potential this year. For me, Sirmacis is the biggest positive surprise in international rallying this year and he is learning fast.
I must also say that ERC is for me much more interesting to follow than WRC now and in the past years. On the Eurosport coverage of the ERC, you have coverage for all top runners and even the best Group N/R4 cars and Junior drivers, while I haven't seen one R5 car on TV in WRC2 this year in the WRC coverage. Even when a WRC2 car is in the top 10 overall before the Power Stage in the WRC, they show a WRC car that is competing in Rally 2...Last edited by Wim_Impreza; 26th July 2016 at 21:08.

At 19:15 Saturday, the FIA are announcing a new WRC event for 2025 at Sardegna. The event, I don't know - perhaps Paraguay.
