I think problem with SS 1/2 was not with very dry conditions, but that rainy weather. It completely changed the situation as there were no wind and all the dust was kept on the road. So also two minute gaps were not helping so much. And cancellation of SS 2? Personally I think the biggest problem was two minute gaps for all competitors in SS 1. So the starting field was much longer than expected and there should be problem to start with SS 2 in time.
