Toro Rosso aiming to hand Verstappen practice debut in Japan
Toro Rosso hope to give teenager Max Verstappen his Formula One practice debut at the 2014 Formula 1 Japanese Grand Prix in October, according to team principal Franz Tost.
The 16-year-old Dutchman, who has signed to race for the Italian squad in 2015, had his first proper F1 test in a two-year old Toro Rosso at Adria International Raceway last week, clocking up enough mileage to be eligible for his F1 Super Licence.
"He finished by doing 396 kilometres without any problem and people were really impressed with his performance," Tost said in Friday's FIA press conference in Singapore.

As for Oscar I think you are probably right. He knows he will retain the lead and not force any issues with the team. As for Max a tougher call. He is no doubt watching the championship slip away...
