Best National anthem?
Another little fluff thread to keep us amused over the long winter.
As the title suggests which anthems to you like to hear at the end of a race and which send you to sleep?
Now it's not so common I enjoy the Italian - very upbeat, and the Brazilian. But the German, Austrian and UK anthems are dull, Dull, DULL!All other opinions are wrong....

The Italian national anthem is very catchy, I always hum along to it. The Spainish anthem ain't bad either.

IMO "La Marseillaise" is the best, with "Oh Canada" a somewhat distant second!
If we ever here them at an F1 podium celebration is another story!May the forza be with you

Italian for my favorite also. Pretty festive feeling even after a long race. Brazil second, and there is Japan's that has a sad slow tempo version that i like sometimes.
Not this Italian version though: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GhtYv...eature=related

The Italian Natioal Anthem is like two enitirely different bits of music tacked onto each other. I think that it sort of sounds like the music that comes from an old-time carousel with the horsies going around.
It is utterly bonkers and quite quite brilliant. The Old Republic was a stupidly run organisation which deserved to be taken over. All Hail Palpatine!

I like the Japanese and the British one, they're both very majestic, graceful and dignified. I prefer those to the festive ones. But they're a good fit for nations like Italy or Brazil.
