RIP Niki
Rest in peace Niki Lauda.
What an amazing career on and off the track, that will be hard to match.
I remember Lauda's interview on ZDF the night before the Nurburg ring crash.
Luckily he survived for a 2nd career.

Wow, the toughest F1 driver to ever race. I thought he would live a thousand years that man.
Rest in Peace Niki, you would always be rememberedBetter a witty fool than a foolish wit.

His work to improve the V6's sound was an amazing contribution to F1. He made them sound distinctly lauda.
Seriously, though, it's a shame to see him go. He was a legend and, perhaps more importantly, always someone to speak his mind, which will be sorely missed in the world of politics that is F1. He was a truly unique character and I'm sure everyone in the paddock would have wanted him to stay on for much longer.Last edited by N4D13; 21st May 2019 at 11:32. Reason: Duplicate

It's sad when a larger than life legend goes, specially well before his time.

He was the first Formula One driver that I ever followed and was a fan of.
