    AMA Superbike to allow 1200cc twins

    AMA will allow 1200cc twins to race in its superbike championship in 2008. Twins will weigh 15 pounds more than I4s and racing kit pistons will be allowed.

    the rules if anyone wants them.

    and thus, the Ducati 1098 & Buell 1125R will be in contention,

    Just what many were looking for...

    It'll take more than a capacity increase to make the Buell competitive


    So a Ducati return to AMA is on the cards then. It's very late for them to get a team and riders for 2008 though.
