    Final Rd V8 Supercar Series- Phillip Is.

    The final Rd of the V8's has arrived. Phillip Island is the venue.....let's see if we can get a good turn out for the last event......rumour has it that Muz may make a return to racing after a long absence.....Here are the details for Qualifying:

    QUALIFYING DETAILS:
    *Free Set Ups for ALL drivers - no cheats or boosts allowed.
    *Times must be posted on both Codies & this thread to be official.
    *Qualifying ends this Saturday night, 1st Dec. 8p.m. Aussie time.
    *Details for the race will go up Saturday evening after the Qualifyiing...approx 8.30p.m.
    *Start your engines guys!!!!

    Had the GT practice round at this venue to give everyone some preparation time...

    I really like this circuit.... the GT practice round was my first time running on it.

    I always thought of Bathurst as the Aussie Spa though...other that I LOVE Spa yet find Bathurst extremely frustrating.

    Bathurst is kind like Spa combined with Surfer's Paradise or Long Beach

    Anyway.....I was surprised to see that the NGT cars are faster that the Aussie V8 cars.

    the Aussie V8's feel faster to me. I bet the Aussie V8's have more power but slower cornering.....

    Had my first quick 15 minute session at Phillip Is......posting a 1m.10.5s Room for plenty of improvement....

    Qualifying times:
    1.Vuko Snr......1m.10.56(unofficial)
    2.Tannat.........1m.11.62

    yeah, I can confirm that you can do a lot better than 1:10.56

    how do I know? because I got a 1:10.57 in testing here a while back! good enough for 44th on codies.

    I'm 63rd with my 1:11.xx. It's quite tight on that chart.
