Victory and title for Jean-Marie Cuoq !!!!
He's the first driver to win both gravel and tarmac championship
Victory and title of the Michelin Trophy for Eric Mauffrey also
Bad luck for the S2000s, puncture for Tirabassi in the last stage(8th overall in the end of rally)and mechanical problem for Marty(retirement it seems)
The R3 is won by an incredible Manu Guigou(already 2WD champion on gravel with that Clio)ahead of Robert and Canivenq...
Belgian Kris Princen was 4th of R3(9th overall)
EDIT: I forgot, the Suzuki Swift Cup was won by Yoann Bonato in front of Cyril Audirac and Boris Carminati, but the overall championship is for Pierre Marché who will receive a present by Suzuki France for next year(possibly a Swift S1600 in France and on selected WRC events)

The news at Autoklub.pl (http://www.autoklub.pl/17927,news.html) say that there was a big scandal on Rallye du Var. Cuoq, Salanon and Rouillard were caught during illegal recce. The manager from TOTAL said that the company is going to completely withdraw from French rally scene if the cheating driver will be accepted by FFSA as French rally champion.... Anybody knows more details?

Tom, I don't understand French, you could make a comment?
JMCuoq could lose the title?

A thing that makes me angry against organiser of rally and FFSA is that on one side they say that the fact there were notes from the past events of Var inside the car during recce is considered by FFSA as "cheating" but on another side they say that it was useless to have notes of past events(many things changed from last editions of rallye du Var compared to the 2007 one)...so to me if it didn't bring lots of advantage to the crew to have notes from the past editions it's a mistake regarding the rules, BUT it can't be cheating at all !!!!
