Dovizioso confirmed @ Honda MotoGP

As expected Dovi has been confirmed for MotoGP with a yet to be confirmed Honda team (thought to be JiR).

2008 is shaping as a changing of the guard with regard to some experienced riders leaving and being replaced by the young guns. Bring it on!

I hope that the support from Honda to Dovi's team is greatly increased because he deserves a competitive package. I rate him at least as highly as Lorenzo and it would be a shame to see his results hampered by further lack of support from the big H.

I read that JiR just got the upgrade parts the other Honda's got earlier this season, it seems they are last in the HRC hierarchy. The odd thing is that Honda didnt support a Japanese rider, usually they give their country boys good equipment.

That's right. His best option would be as the favoured rider at Gresini unless JiR jump a few rungs on the Honda pecking order.
Honda's lack of support to Nakano has been unusual, like you say ChrisS, but I suppose they're more keen to support the most competitive riders and Nakkers has looked way off the pace from the very start of the year which I guess didn't help him either.
