Sim gaming: a sport?
Silly notion? Perhaps not..
I feel our fun little pasttime requires as high a degree of hand-eye coordinaiton as golf (with perhaps a touch less physical exertion).

I once put a heart rate monitor(the one i use at the gym) on when I played racing games on my x-box. My HR barely moved past my normal HR for sitting watching TV.
However, I did the same thing when kart racing and my HR jumped to 150+.

It all depends on the level of force feedback in steering wheels, doesn't it?
Put it to a high level and play for two hours, it feels like you've been shoveling dirt for ten minutes.C'est la vie ja taksi tuo.

Ernest Hemingway said the only true sports are bull fighting, mountain climbing, & auto racing. Everything else is just a game.
I see his logic.
so, I would therefore classify sim racing as a game.
but if golf is a sport then so is this"Approach racing like billiards - bash the ball too hard, get nowhere." Juan Manuel Fangio
