    Good to see, he's a sound guy who could have gone further,its nice to see recognition being given to a rally driver

    I'm sure he's a great guy, deserves to be remembered and all that but really.. they're handing out MBE's for anything these days. Does every athlete or sportsman whose ever won any international event or cup already have their title?

    Member of the British Empire

    Award generally given to civilians for services to their country in some way.

    In this case recognition for services to motorsport.

    There is probably a lot of work been put in which is not visible to the casual bystander, and it is a worthy recognition.
